6 Days Rongai Route

The Peaceful Ascent from Kilimanjaro’s Northern Slopes

The Rongai Route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the northern side, near the Kenyan border. It’s the quietest and least crowded trail, offering a true wilderness experience with unspoiled scenery and a gradual ascent. The route passes through pine forests, open moorlands, and alpine desert before joining the Marangu Route near the summit. It’s perfect for trekkers seeking a serene and less-traveled path to Uhuru Peak (5,895m)  the roof of Africa.
