Safari Itinerary & Experience Overview

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

Depart early from Dar es Salaam and drive through charming rural landscapes to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy your first game drive spotting elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes against a backdrop of the Uluguru Mountains.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi

Spend the full day exploring Mikumi’s wide-open savannas and acacia woodlands. Keep your eyes open for lions resting under the shade, herds of buffaloes, and graceful impalas. The park offers a perfect introduction to Southern Tanzania’s wilderness.

Day 3: Mikumi Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, journey west to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest and one of its most dramatic wildlife destinations. The landscape transforms into rugged hills, baobab-studded plains, and winding rivers. Arrive in time for a sunset game drive.

Enjoy a full day exploring Ruaha a park known for its high concentration of elephants and predators such as lions, leopards, and wild dogs. You’ll also spot kudu, sable antelope, and a rich array of birdlife. Picnic lunch inside the park keeps you close to the action all day.
