Safari Itinerary & Experience Overview

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha / Dar es Salaam

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR). You’ll be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for a briefing about your upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Flight to Kigoma – Transfer to Gombe

Take a morning flight to Kigoma, a charming lakeside town on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to Kibirizi port, where you’ll board a boat to Gombe Stream National Park — a beautiful 1-hour ride across the lake.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Gombe

After breakfast, set off on your first chimpanzee trekking adventure! Follow your guide through lush forests in search of Gombe’s famous chimp families. Observe their fascinating behavior and social interactions — an unforgettable wildlife encounter.
In the afternoon, enjoy swimming or snorkeling in the clear waters of Lake Tanganyika.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking & Kakombe Waterfall
